VmWare e log di sistema

Ciao a tutti, dato che ultimamente ho notato un rallentamento generale(soprattutto all'avvio) sono andato un pò a spulciare i log da console..

Ma è normale che VmWare, pur essendo chiuso, faccia tutto ciò?

Ho provato anche a disattivare l'interfaccia di rete della virtual machine installata e gli aggiornamenti automatici di VmWare ma il problema persiste..

non è possibile evitare tutte queste azioni inutili?

si è normale che carichi componenti in avvio. ma nn sembrano quelli ad allungare i tempi di boot, posta il resto del sys.log

nel frattempo ho rimosso PostgreSQL e tutte le schifezze che mi aveva buttato su il suo pacchetto di installazione, e le cose sembrano già migliorate... Le prime 5 voci del log sono dovute proprio all'installazione di postgres; sai come posso rimettere a posto i valori della shared memory? so che il file è /etc/rc, ma quali erano i valori originali?
