Login fallito con mutt

Per quanto in oggetto, ho installato mutt seguendo questa guida.

Il contenuto del mio ~/.muttrc:

naturalmente ho modificato le mie credenziali. Le linee aggiunte da me sono quelle trovate in rete su innumerevoli guide nella speranza di risolvere.

Quando lancio mutt mi dà login fallito.

Puoi loggarti solo con root che io sappia (utilizzo mutt in maniera molto basic)

Dal proprio account gmail:

1)  attivare la verifica in due passaggi;

2) generare la "password per le app" impostando come app: "Posta" e come dispositivo "Mac" o quello che serve.

3) inserire la password generata nei files di configurazione.

aaaaaaaah ok! Pensavo volessi leggere le mail del sistema. Ok :)

Scusami dr.virus forse non mi sono spiegato bene ed avrei dovuto specificare che intendevo leggere l'email di Gmail... 😊
